Ascot Hire Terms & Conditions

  1. Goods will be supplied to meet the order placed online on the required collection date as requested and for the duration of the rental period selected. 
  2. Oliver Brown reserves the right to change the items in the order if specific items are unavailable with the prior consent of the customer. If an item is unavailable, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible after you place your order.
  3. Hire Insurance covers any accidental damage to items, except top hats. Insurance does not cover lost items or damage caused by malice. If insurance is not purchased, the customer shall be liable for any damage an item received and will have to pay for replacement item(s) up to the full retail price of the item(s).
  4. Hire orders which are not returned on their due date will be charged a late fee of a full day's rental (e.g. £215 for a full morning suit hire with top hat). 
  5. Customers will be required to leave credit/debit card details upon collection. A fixed amount of £300 will be preauthorised on the card for all suits and top hats and £100 for any other individual items. This preauthorisation will only be charged if the goods are not returned after one week following the hire period return date. If items are not returned, they will be charged at their full retail value. No goods will be released until the deposit process has been successfully completed.
  6. Orders which are cancelled within 7 days of their collection date are non refundable.
  7. Customers must check their goods and will be given the opportunity to try on their hire prior to leaving the store. Oliver Brown will not be held responsible for any error in sizing or products discovered after collection.
  8. For orders placed online, sizes will be supplied as entered. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the correct size is selected. Oliver Brown will make every effort within reason to supply the correct size should you enter an incorrect size; however, it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that sizing is correct.
  9. Please ensure that you check all pockets prior to returning your hire. Oliver Brown will not be liable for any lost property left within hire suits.
  10. Hire orders for the week of Royal Ascot will be ready to collect from 5pm the day before your booking and will be due back no later than 10am the following day.
  11. Pre-booked online orders for the days Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of Royal Ascot will be ready to collect one week early to avoid particularly busy times in our shops.
  12. If you wish to collect early, please note that you will not be able to collect on the Saturday or Sunday prior to Ascot.
